Use these instructions if your computer uses Windows 8.

Instructions

  1. Start computer at home and log on using the credentials

    Username: .\teacher

    Password: asx-111

  2. Ensure that you’re connected to your home network and that you can browse the internet. 


  3. On the right select “Remote Desktop Connection”.


  4. When on the start screen (with the colored tiles) start typing “Remote Desktop” 


  5. In the computer field enter “remote.brigidine.qld.edu.au” and click connect.



  6. You will be prompted for your Brigidine Login.


  7. In the username field enter “BCI\<YourUsername> “ and enter your password in the password field and click ok.

  8. A screen will appear alerting you “The identity of the remote computer cannot be verified” Select Yes.


  9. Once you click yes you should be logged and have access to all your drives.

  10. When you are finished remember to Log Off. If you do not log of you may not be able to access files that you have left open.
