If a laptop is having mapping issue HP will ask you to perform a keyboard check this can be done in the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics under component tests/ keyboard check/ run
This will process will prompt you on what do do and will finish with a pass fail result. HP will need to be provided with all the information from this result which can be found in the test logs page and looks like:
