Use this tutorial to use Photoshop to change multiple images into a 300-dpi format. 

Instructions

  1. Ensure your images to resize are all located within the same folder (note the location).
    Create a folder for your new images to be saved to. (note the location).

  2. Click the link below to download the desired action (note the location of where you save/ download the file).
    1. Resize Image-300dpi.atn : Change images to 300dpi.
    2. RGB to CMYK.atn : Change images from RGB to CMYK .


  3. Open Photoshop

  4. Select Windows, Actions.


  5. The actions menu should appear, click the panel menu icon (circled below).


  6. Click Load Actions.


  7. Locate the downloaded 'Resize Image-300dpi' file and click load.
    The action should now appear in your actions panel!
     


  8. Select File, Automate, Batch.


  9. The batch options will appear. Change Set to 'Resize Image-300dpi' by clicking on the panel.


  10. Change the Source to Folder and use Choose to locate and select the folder which contains the images TO RESIZE.


  11. Then change Destination to Folder and use Choose to locate and select the folder which you want your NEW IMAGES TO BE SAVED INTO. 


  12. Tick the 'Override Action "Save As" Commands'. Once this is ticked press Okay.
    (this allows images to be saved instantly instead of having the "Save As" pop up after each indivudal image)


  13. Leave photoshop open and allow the process to finish (it will cycle through the images and display them on your workspace), time may vary depending on the number of images. 
    Once the process is completed your workspace should be blank and the resized images are now located in the folder you designated earlier.
