Issue

Following the two network server outages this week we have identified a hardware fault that will require us to replace one of the parts in the server.

In order for us to replace the part, we will have to take the server offline, replace the part, and rebuild the server.


We will be conducting the maintenance on the server on Tuesday 7th August from 1pm and anticipate the server to be offline until later in the evening.

During the time that the server will be offline, there will be a number of services that will be unavailable, they are as follows:

  • BrigNET
  • P Drive
  • H Drive
    • If you have any files on your H Drive that you anticipate using, we suggest that you copy them to your OneDrive
  • Oliver
  • Moodle
  • Learning Analytics
  • osTicket
    • All Non-IT Ticket Systems will be able to receive tickets via email, but won’t be able to be tended to by respective staff
  • WaterLink Datamate
  • Sibelius Licensing
    • machines already checked out with a license will continue to work

During the outage you will have full access to SEQTA Teach as normal for roll marking.

  • 07 Aug 1:00pm - Outage started
  • 07 Aug 3:00pm - Server part has been replaced, system rebuilding
  • 07 Aug 6:30pm - BrigNET back online
  • 08 Aug 6:30am - P Drive and H Drive back online
  • 08 Aug 6:30am - Oliver, Learning Analytics, WaterLink Datamate, osTicket back online
  • 08 Aug 8:20am - Moodle, Sibelius back online
