The Conversations Tab in Microsoft Teams appears in the general channel, as well as any additional channels you create. Conversations are different from chats because they are visible to everyone in a channel and not private. They are a great way to communicate and collaborate with multiple people at once. 3: "@ Mentioning" others in a Conversation
When typing a message you can use the "@" symbol to mention another person. This is known as an "@-mention" (pronounced "at mention"). By typing the beginning of the persons name Microsoft Teams will make suggestions. Click on the suggested name and the "@-mention" will be auto-completed.
After posting the message the persons name is highlighted in a blue color. In the example below, James Weber will be notified of my message.
