Issue
On 2nd February 2019 electricians on the building site will be working on cutting over the power to prepare for construction on the new building
As a result Kildare, Foley, Duvac and the Brigid Centre will be without power for all of Saturday 2nd February. The Convent, Tullow and Delany will still have power.
Power will be cut at 6am and there will be a brief outage (less than 30mins) to the College network during this time as we move the servers from mains power to a generator.
You will still be able to access all services until the work by the electricians is completed, this will require another brief outage to return the servers to mains power. This time is unknown at this stage.
Work-Around / Fix
You will not have access to the servers during the brief outages to change the servers over to and from the generator

- 02 Feb 6:00am - Short outage to cut servers over
- 02 Feb 6:10am - Servers running on backup power
- 02 Feb 1:10pm - Power restored and servers operating normally
